I bring new of great joy,joy to be share by the whole people: to a saviour has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord (Lk. 2.10)
This is how salvation came and keeps coming to us not in the abstract as a new religion or a new movement , but in the living, loving person of jesus christ. The good news we preach is that God loves this world of sinful men so much that, he has sent his own son in human flesh to be our saviour ( Jn.3:16) . His name is Jesus, in Hebrew "Yehoshua" which means " Yahweh saves", because he is come to seek and he and save what was lost.
We have "great God and saviour Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all in equity and to purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds". (Tit 2:13)
The mission of Jesus is to save every person , and to save or heal person in his/her totality spirit , mind, heart and emotions. "He himself took our illness and carried away our diseases" (Mt.8:17)
