Janta hai mera baap kuan hai – Lokpal!

Everybody in India now-a-days wants to be ‘Anna’ and as they say ‘I am Anna’. Almost everyone who appears in the television or in the print media to be more precise. So my first question is this – is the entire nation behind Anna Hazare? I can’t say for sure if the entire nation is behind him since even my visibility is as far as the television is or the newspapers are or my own friend’s circles or office colleagues and not more than that. Well lets take my visibility aside and for a while assume that the televisions and newspaper are echoing the voice of the people – and the entire nation as they say are with ‘Anna’ in his fight against corruption. So what’s the big deal about this we can ask – can’t an ex-army man exercise his freedom to fight corruption which our country is struggling against from time immemorial. Before answering this question we should ask ourselves are we struggling with corruption; a stupid question to even ask in the heat of all this I suppose but honestly are we suffering and groaning about it or have we accepted corruption as part and parcel of the fabric of the nation. If we have accepted it like the standard ‘Chaltha Hai’ kind of attitude then that’s more the root of the problem and that’s were our campaign must be directed towards. A strong lokpal is good but then it still doesn’t solve the root problem many ways since these very people will make this lokpal’s ‘Chaltha Hai’ very soon or may be like in a typical bollywood dialogue they will say– “Janta hai mera baap kuan hai (Do you know who my dad is?)– Lokpal! ‘

Law of the land can keep only a certain check on the proceedings. We have already certain laws in place to curb corruption yet the many who are expected to minimum follow it are accused of overlooking it and we have the ex chief justice of the nation, chief minister of a state, many bureaucrats as living witnesses to this reality. Certainly a stronger law on paper (Ethics) is needed but what we really need this hour is a clearer law written in the heart of the people (Ethos). This Ethos is needed at every walk of life and at every level.

As you read this – if you are employed , ask yourselves if you have shown fake rent receipts to save some tax – then you are corrupt on the first place! If you have got a land or a certificate or anything from any government office by bribing 100 or 200 INR or higher to any official or third party then you are corrupt! If you have violated the traffic rules and have paid 100 INR to be let off by the police since you had to rush in to go to the Temple or Church or Mosque to pray - then you are also corrupt and even God cant deny it ! So as per Jan Lokpal what shall we do with the corrupt – minimum 5 years or life imprisonment? I think these must be first applied to all those who are sitting and calling the politicians corrupt no doubt most are but how can you point to the dirt in some one ‘s eye when you have a big log in yours? And as a nation we need to ask these questions ourselves how corrupt are we and are we ready to take on ourselves this big dictorial and almost larger than life Jan Lokpal law.

I don’t know if which Lokpal will come – Lokpal of the people’s representatives or the Jan Lokpal of the so called people’s representatives but Lokpal or Jan Lokpal – we need to build a generation which writes this law of integrity on to their hearts. How will the coming generation learn it until the present generation teaches it? How can we teach it if we don’t practice it? How can we practice it if we don’t believe that we can do it? Believe yourselves; don’t be in hurry to get things done for yourselves, don’t encourage the corrupt, and resist them with your patience. A patient man’s curry is far better than the fury of the impatient!

The Campus Vibes 2010 training got over on June 3rd evening.

The 9 days at Cochin were great good days of fellowship , prayer , discussions and planning !

For sure the 23 participants from 8 regions have gained a lot from the programme.

After the 2 days of spiritual orientation, the training geared up with personal development training followed by ministry planning and discussions.

Daily prayers, anointed Holy Mass with enlightening sermons , Jesus Youth prayer and time for worship, adorations everything has made their spirits blaze with fervor to serve the Lord.

The public speaking and presentation skills workshop by Martin, Programme planning module by Dr.Chackochan Njavillil, session on Paradigm Shift and practical modules like Trust Fall by Subin Jacob,studies and discussions on present youth trends etc have indeed helped the leaders to be bold and also to develop a missionary outlook.

The most remarkable day of the training was the discussions with ,Siljo Thomas, Jesus Youth National coordinator,Subin Jacob, the Asst.National Coordinator,Dr.Edward Edezhath, the senior Jesus Youth animator,Soney Noble,the very first campus Coordinator etc.

The CAMPUS VIBES 2010 - the Jubilee batch was really blessed by the presence of many priests and religious persons during the programme days.Sr.Thressiama , the animator of Jesus Youth India, was with the training team all through out the days of the programme.Fr.Abraham Pallivathukkal, Fr.Cheriyan Nereveetil,Fr.Shibu OCD, Fr.Joshy Mayyattil, Fr.Shabin, Fr.Anand also joined the group during the training.

Lets pray that this Jubilee batch of CAMPUS VIBES 2010 ,do wonders for the Lord in the campuses of India.

Day 3: Outreach-Go into the world and preach my gospel

Ready set go:-The participants began their day with jogging exercises lead by the trio Samuel, Charles and Stenson. After which, Dona emphasized the need to reach out to our fellow human beings and see the face of Christ in every individual.

The day was filled with various outreach program; they were divided into groups and sent out to places like- the missionaries of charity, cancer center, Jesus youth child support program office and Ernakulum south railway station.

As they returned back with rich experience, Annie and John Wilfred (elder of Jesus Youth national team) inspired them to inculcate such ‘attitude’ in their daily lives and shared how the Lord through such ‘attitude’ prepares oneself for a personal mission. Dhanya, part of Jesus Youth national team and currently working on a health project in Ranchi, shared her experience, of how she identified her personal mission. She said, it took her almost ten years and different life situations to realize her personal mission or the personal call that the Lord had for her.

The day ended with participants watching the movie Karol-the man who became pope (a true story based on the life of our late Pope John Paul the 2nd).

Campus Vibes 2010: The 3rd series-Reloaded back in God’s own country

It can’t get bigger than this; sorry, it’s not the FIFA 2010 world cup. Campus Vibes a national level training programme for the young budding campus leaders’ of tomorrow, kicked off in style, here at Alpha Pastoral center, Cochin on May 26th with more than 21 participants from 8 states of the country.

All iz well when Holy mass was the bell at 6p.m. giving us a true joy in coming together and surrendering our lives and the eight days of the programme at our Lord’s feet.
It was an evening filled with lot of fun as Livin finally broke the ice; Charles took them for a ride (key note) and Stenson Johny made them abide (instructions).

Day 1: The Retreat- This is the day that the Lord as made and we will rejoice and be glad in him.

The day started with praise and worship followed by a time for personal prayer. Our dear Fr. Abraham Pallivathuckal was all geared up as he guided us to understand the power of the Trinity in our lives and helped nourish ourselves with the scriptures. The day continued with Fr. Cherian Nereveettil reflecting on inner healing and encouraged us to have a “Heart Talk” with Jesus during the adoration. The Participants had a great day and went to bed with a renewed experience of Jesus.

Day2: Reflection- Silence is the key to know the Triune God

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the word was God. Sr.Thressiamma, the animator of Jesus Youth National team, helped the participants to reflect on their lives in relation to the scriptures. Followed by Anu Pinheiro, challenging and asking the participants to reflect on what it takes to be a Jesus Youth. As time went by, the participants were taught to have “goals in their walk of faith” by Elvis Kootturin.
The day ended with participants sharing their experiences of the two day retreat cum reflection and with a little game to realize how we are the children of God.

The participants have started travelling to Cochin for the National Campus Leaders' training at Edakochi.

3 from Ranchi, Jharkhand have already reached Kerala for the training.

The programme part is almost done and the preparations are moving on!

Hope this 3d CAMPUS VIBES training will surely boost up their spirits to work for HIS Kingdom in their campuses. We pray that CV 2010 will raise many more apostles in the Indian campuses who are Refined in His Fire,Renewed in His Spirit & Radiant in His Love !

Campus Vibes is back with a bang!

Yes the campus Vibes training that changed the life of many youngsters in India is back. This time the training happens in Cochin. For many reasons Cochin is so special for Jesus Youth. After all it is here the greatest wonders (Jesus Youth) of our time were born. The participants will gain a lot from the presence of many resourceful leaders around.

This year too we are blessed with a bunch of committed missionaries from different parts of India. The preparations for the training are in the final stage. The Program team, venue and local Jesus youth all are ready to welcome the participants.

Campus Ministry is a powerful instrument for moulding generations for Christ- to prepare today’s youngsters to become Missionaries. I have experienced that power during the 7 years of my college education. The College prayer groups have helped me to build my life on the Rock, through many senior JY, Elders, priests & Religious. For me, it was like 7 holistic years of formation in a “Faith Formation Centre”. I was taught, trained and exposed to an in-house training on how to look at Catholic Spirituality in the context of Contemporary World. I came through a deeper conviction that Jesus has a powerful plan and higher thought about University Campuses, and it happened after seeing with my own eyes the changed lives of hundreds of young people!
Even when I was stretched out in all ways, God gave me the grace to prioritize my studies and to focus only on Him. Even my family, relationships, Character, Personality, Job & Career...in everything, I could see the countless blessings of the Lord! If we stretch out maximum for Him, He will always reward us with everything we need in our lives, in the best way possible

Like me, many people had a Dream ‘to win the campus today and to change the world tomorrow’.
To win people for Christ, build them in Catholic faith, Train them in building up a ministry and then send them to reach out to others.
It happened in the last years and it will happen again! And let nothing stop this dream to unfold, get it visualized through your youth groups and become a life-giving experience!
Few decades back, when Jesus Youth campus prayer groups started growing in different parts of Kerala, no one had imagined or dreamt about youngsters from universities could be changed into missionaries..No one thought about a One Year Full Time Commitment for the Lord…Their dreams were smaller and the Lord gave us big dreams, he put on the wings to fly and to move out to youngsters in various parts of not only India, but in over 25 Countries!
So when you speak or share about Jesus to a youngster in a Campus, It has much and more greater impact today…
We can see the beautiful work of Holy Spirit through Philip in Acts chapter 8. Philip allowed the Holy Spirit to work in him; the Ethiopian got baptized and the Gospel was sent to Africa!

In the university campus evangelization, Holy Spirit takes the centre stage. If the disciple teaches, it is because the Spirit teaches the disciple (Luke 12:12).If the listener is convinced, it is because the Spirit has penetrated his heart (John 16:10). If the listener is converted, it is by the transforming power of the Spirit (Roman 8:11).

You have the same Spirit working with you that Philip did. Let the Spirit of the Lord take control of your thoughts and steps. An Angels’ voice may not come with flashing and flickering lights, may be a soft voice while you are a youngster in your Campus!
I do believe that the National Campus Meet 2009 is an opportunity to listen to God’s Voice and to understand His thoughts.

“My thoughts.” says the Lord, “are not like yours, and my ways are different from yours, and my ways are different from yours. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so high are my ways and thoughts above yours. My word is like the snow and the rain that come down from the sky to water the earth. They make the crops grow and provide seed for planting and food to eat. So also will be the word that I speak – It will not fail to do what I plan for it; It will do everything O send it to do” (Isaiah 55:8 – 11)

HI friends you should understand the importance of life given by god
i really understood it because my grandmother was admitted to hospital for 27 days and as i was somewhat free my parents made me to care my grandmother and majority of my time was spend in the hospital
In one way the building was too cool and well decorated but other sense it was the deciding place for ones life if u go in 1. u can be completely cured or else death how fearful the life becomes to go in such places and also even it becomes the place for frequent and strong prayers those who never prayed even call out lords name for more than thousand times
When i was der i saw many crying for der ailment many feeling hopeless due to their such sudden ailments, also some came afternoon then took the dead body of the patient at night is life that short??? really i thanked my lord for giving me my healthy life
But is that enough if anything happens than a big question will come
what i did in my life ?????????????

YES FRIENDS LIFE IS VERY IMPORTANT GOD GAVE ALL THE RESOURCES TO TEACH US ABOUT LIFE IF WE DO NOT USE IT FOR HIM THAN OUR LIFE WILL BE MEANINGLESS AND DURING THE LAST days WE WILL BE RESTLESS FOR NOT LIVING LIFE FULLY

hello dear friends in christ i am very much thankful to lord for giving this campus vibes program like a powerhouse generating greater vibes in campus youth and preparing them like a strong warriors
here i want to share about how cv changed a baroda youth robin a wonderful zeal has been filled in him to do anything for the lord
he was trying to do many things though people are less but all are now in a good growing formation in the lord many who were busyand not able to attend or involve in parish ministry are now a part of jy through campus ministry

and really lord wants him to go on with the same zeal that is again to reload the fire in him and that happend by the visit of regi bhaiya and victor bhaiya

Robin and i was very happy and used their visit fully they actually came for the national conference and i was thinking they would be speaking only about it but it was in the other way
Whomsoever they met they encouraged about work going and tried to give inputs for the ministry it was very joyful moment though they didn't allowd me to sleep
even they with beautiful sharing also entrusted small works to some of the youth for the conference and thus beautifully involved them in it as apart of it
I was happy that the vibes in me was again recreated by them and in robin it became more stronger praise god for he prepares the way for his workers

Thanking all the national campus team for again and again visting baroda and caring the youth here we keep the ministry always in prayers

BEFORE CV and AFTER CV

CV'09 has been a time of grace and learning for me.I want to share two of my experiences that I had.
While returning home after CV,we missed the Coromandel Exp bound for howrah,scheduled to leave at 8:45am due to our late arrival.Our ticket money couldn't be refunded and to add to our trouble we had to spend extra money on booking new tickets of the next immediate train that was available.We were left with few hundred bucks. On hearing of our situation Rohit's Gujrat friend's friend who is working in Chennai approached us with Rs 3000/- in case if we encountered any problem during journey.What amazed me was that though we were strangers to each other yet he trusted us. We boarded Howrah Exp same night but had to spend that night on the floor since our tickets were in waiting list . I felt really embarrased sleeping near wash basin but it was a humbling experience. We were assured to get confirmed berths towards next evening but our prayers didn't go unanswered , before afternoon we got the confirmation.
This not only happened on our return journey but also on our onward journey. While travelling to kerela from howrah to chennai we were in waiting list. Few minutes left for the train to depart and we were praying desperately for a way out. It was then Fr Ramesh who came to our rescue, he was also travelling to Kerela for vacation that day. He willing shared his berth with us. I truely believe that it was the divine intervention otherwise we wouldn't be able to attend CV'O9.

Another experience was after the completion of CV. Along with Sr. Rita I had to outreach one of the parish in our deanery regarding "Indian Mission Congress and Yesu Mahoutsav". I was reluctant to go because of unknown dialect yet i went. To my surprise i was introduced as Jesus Youth which i least expected. On hearing about me, one of the priest shared about his first encounter with 2 Keralite JY nurses in one of the Haryana villages where he had been to.Overcoming the language barrier these nurses were evangelising from village to village. On hearing and seeing their committment that priest was really astonished.Later during homely that priest spoke about Jesus Youth and also introduced me to all the parishners attending mass. He appreciated JY and also invited me to introduce Jesus Youth lifestyle and prayer to the youths of that parish.Remember friends, I had shared in CV'09 about my dream of reaching out to youths of Bardhman.In the morning I was hesitant to travel to Bardhman; introducing JY there is my dream had simply slipped of my mind but the Lord remembered it.I still cant believe that my dreams are coming true!!
I praise the Lord for such beautiful experiences!!

A small Report

Campus Vibes ’09 – the National Campus Leaders’ training was a really blessing for the Campus Ministry. The programme which was held at Athmadarshan, Aluva, Kerala from 2009, May 30 – June 7, had a participation of 31 campus leaders from 9 states of India. It has certainly helped the ministry to broaden its vision & mission. For the leaders from all across India it was a platform to clarify their doubts & to get recharged with new dreams & plans.

The very first day of the programme had a fabulous & creative Icebreaking; the participants really tasted the highly spiced green chilies of Kerala, along with their own strange & innovative tribal languages. Siljo Thomas, the JYNT coordinator visited the Vibes ’09 group and motivated them to get the maximum out of the training.

The first two days of the Campus Vibes gave a spiritual orientation for the participants. The retreat & reflection day were led by Fr.Abraham Pallivathukkal, Fr.Cheriyan Nereveettil. Babychayan & Dr.Appu Syriac.The participants really enjoyed the bliss of silence, on those days.

The training modules started on the 3^rd day of the programme. The morning slots had an exercise & warm up session followed by jogging. We all enjoyed the morning time as it had small time slots for discussions on relevant topics.

The programme had one whole day for the group to visit Old age home & a colony in Alwaye, which was near to the training center. The experiences we had there were marvelous indeed to sharpen our view on the 6^th constant of the JY movement – Option for the Poor.

The evening programme modules of CAMPUS VIBES ‘09 mainly had time to learn more on the E-world, time on storytelling about the major initiatives of the movement & how it emerged. Internet facilities were made available and the participants were allowed to access Internet at allotted time slots of the programme.

The training programme mainly covered sessions on Paradigm Shift, Presentation skills, Public speaking, current Youth Trends, Ministry building orientation and Film reviews were also included in the training part .The main resources were Adv.Raiju Varghese- JYIT member, Manoj Sunny – former JYIT coordinator, George Devassy - JYIT coordinator, Dr.Chackochan Njavally, Shelton Pinheiro, Vipin.V.Roldant, Dhanya Paul JYNT member etc. All these sessions and discussions on the current Youth trends and on the struggles they face, eventually helped them to seek out solutions. These discussions & conclusions have really helped them to dream higher for the 25000 plus campuses in India and to think deeply on their roles & plans that they have for the ministry. The dream sharing session made them to think creatively & to plan effectively for the ministry in their regions. Many studies and research on Church were also done during the training days.

With innovative & vibrant ideas, each day of the training programme were made beautiful by the young leaders. Holy Mass celebrated at the banks of the river Periyar by Fr.Shabin & the beautiful & quiet Taize prayer done in the garden outside the venue, made the training programme more wonderful. The Vibrant team of Campus Vibes ‘09 came out with an amazing theme song at the end of the programme.

The second last day of the Campus Vibes witnessed a fellowship gathering of many senior JY leaders. The fellowship group including, Beena Manoj- senior JY & member of Rex Band, Chackochan Njavally, Soney Noble- the first Campus Ministry Coordinator, JY regional coordinators, elders of the campus ministry of Kerala Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, religious persons who support the movement including Fr.Bitaju & Sr.Thressiama – the animators of JYNT, JYNT members, National campus team & Teens team members and many regional ministry leaders were with the participants that day. The group had a beautiful time of sharing on the history of the movement & of the Campus Ministry. The fellowship group of more than 25 senior JY leaders coordinated by Dr.Edward Edezhath- Senior JY animator, has worked out well for the 31 national leaders.

The last day was mainly meant for ministry planning. .The planning session was indeed very useful and many regional gatherings were also planned in the coming days as a preparation for National Campus Meet ’09.The final anointing Holy Mass was celebrated by Fr.Abraham Pallivathukkal- former JYIT animator. With Hearts full of Joy, Dreams & prayers the Vibes ’09 has gone back to their Vineyards to do more wonders for the Lord!

I was so fortunate to attend the Campus Vibes 09.I experienced the presence of My lord there and I am enlightened by His word.C.V really told me where should I go and What should I do in my campus and my mission areas.Lord I thank you for the light,thank you for showing me my unearthen talents, thank you for the love and life which I recieved through Campus vibes 09.

So wonderful and heart touching ,loving days for me.I got back what I lost in my life.So fortunate I am.Thank you Lord.

I really miss the merry fooding time,contemplating silent hours,Play full crativity time and God guided adoration........ LAST DAY AT CAMPUS VIBES ’09: 'A NEW BEGINNING'

2009 June 7^th: The last day of the Vibes ’09.The day was mainly for us to dream on our lives & also for the ministry.Dr.Chackochan Njavillil made us to share our dreams & plans after 10 years. Those funny & joyful moments we will always cherish in our lives. Fr.Abraham Pallivathukkal celebrated the Holy Mass followed by the anointing prayers. He also brought us a special gift: ICE CREAM for all of us.The planning session was indeed very useful and many regional gatherings were also planned in the coming days as a preparation for Campus Meet ’09.

With Hearts full of Joy, Dreams & prayers the Vibes ’09 has gone back to their Vineyards to do more wonders for the Lord!

The seventh day of Campus Vibes '09 was of great importance as we had a fellowship group of senior Jesus Youth, Religious persons who support us & many of the regional coordinators with the group. The national Teens team & the National Campus Team also joined the group. The fellowship group really did work out well for the 31 national leaders as it explained how the movement grew & spread across 25 countries all throughout these years. The sharing of Beena Manoj & Dr.Edward Edezhath who were a part of the ministry from its very beginning were marvelous. Soney Noble the first coordinator of the campus ministry,also relished her ministry works of those days.Many regional coordinators & senior campus ministry leaders also shared their experiences.The fellowship group provided a good platform for the participants to know the seniors much better.

The 6^th day of Campus Vibes ’09 had Manoj Sunny- the JYIT member & the former International Coordinator, with us. We talked about the current Youth trends & main problems of the Youth with him . The day mainly had discussions on the struggles we face in campuses & we tried to seek out the solutions. This really helped us to dream higher for the 25000 plus campuses in India and to think deeply on our roles & plans that we have for the ministry. The dream sharing session even made us to think creatively & to plan effectively for the ministry works in our regions.

Campus Vibes is still moving on very interestingly, contributing much to the ministry in its working style. The participants are really enjoying the innovative sessions, actively involved in the discussions & trying to come up with creative ideas each time.

This day mainly focused on public speaking & presentation skills.
The interactive session by the JYIT coordinator, George Devassy, even made the day fantastic. His talk made them think on the various possibilities they can use in their campuses for Evangelization.

The story telling time, Introduction to the E-world & research on the Church make the training programme even wonderful. The team has even provided the facilities to access internet at any time in the venue. The day ended with a Taize prayer which made the day much more beautiful.

As usual we started our day by the jogging session followed by the spirited basket ball game.The fourth day of the National Leaders’ Training was a day to think on their attitudes & to go for a 180° shift in their views. The session being led by Adv.Raiju Varghese, JYIT member, the whole day did benefit a lot to the participants. The beautiful thing that happened on the day was the celebration of Holy Mass outside the center, on the banks of the river Periyar. Fr.Shabin, the animator of the Fulltimers’ training team who celebrated the Holy Mass gave us the beautiful insight to ascend our attitudes & views to that of Jesus.

Campus Vibes ’09 started off its third day with an exercise time followed by jogging.

This was a really new experience for us and the discussion which followed has certainly given a lot of insights on our attitude towards the needy & poor.

This day, the entire group of the Campus Vibes 09 visited an old age home & a colony in Alwaye, which was near to our training center. The experiences we had there were marvelous indeed to sharpen our view on the 6^th constant of the JY movement – Option for the Poor.

With great zeal & full of Joy in our hearts the 31 national campus Leaders from 9 states of India, speaking 9 different languages, the Campus Vibe ‘09 is still on its way to score new marks in the History of JY National campus Ministry.

Campus Vibes 2009 has started spreading its vibrations all over the Indian campuses.
The training which started on 30th May has 31 vibrant young participants from 9 states all across India. With a fabulous & creative Icebreaking, the participants really tasted the highly spiced green chilies of Kerala, along with their own strange & innovative tribal languages. The first day of the training -May 31, is a retreat led by Fr.Abraham Pallivathukkal & Dr.Appu Syriac.

CAMPUS VIBES is a training programme for JY Campus Leaders, which intend to set a new trend among the campus JY all across India .This being an initiative of National Campus Ministry was first hosted in Bangalore in the year 2008. This training programme mainly provides a platform for the JY leaders to come together, to realize the present situations of Indian campuses and thus to discover their roles in the ministry. The training beginning with a spiritual preparation of the participants; then move on to major discussions and interactions with national and International leaders.

Well i am glad that i am blogging after a long time.The last time i wrote , well i clearly remember was on my birthday.This time i am writing also on a birthday , a belated b'day of soughts a globally celebrated b'day called Christmas.Many kids may assume that Christmas is the B'day of one mister Santa Claus who loves giving gifts than taking , what a noble fellow;How rare to find people who like to give than take on such wonderful occasions. The world today is one which prefers the equation (amount received > amount paid).I clearly remember parties(bday,marriage..etc) where the host are busy looking at the gifts we bring and inwardly calculating the profit they acquired by inviting us to the party ,not a noble thought i must say.Well coming back to Santa - this question arised in my mind, who is He? .In my search for the truth I went through few books and the santa story was quite simple.'Myra' christians hid gifts under the pillows of their kids on the night before the feast of one holy person called St.Nicholas and this person through centuries became the saw called 'Santa Claus'.Look how time has changed our perception, now we know who Santa Claus is but not the real person behind him thats Bishop St.Nicholas .Whats up with few saints they are always given different shades , do u remember one mister St.Valentine, poor chap who is a victim of Hallmark & Archies marketing.The bottom line is this , u may believe Santa exists(like millions of children around the world) or you may not (few like me) but the hope he brings is amazing.Hope of giving to the needy,hope of feeding the hungry,hope of clothing the naked - very much what Christ Jesus himself proclamied during his walk on earth(Jesus Said : "The least you do to a brother of yours ,you do it to me").Every one receives during Christmas, even if Mr.Santa has not given you anything in person you have received so much during this Christmas, remember the song we sang "Joy to the world the Lord has born let earth recieve thy King" .We have recieved the king of peace during this Christmas and having received the greatest gift called Peace from God we must be more than ever willing to share this across with the needy, i mean people who need peace.Next question -who are the needy ? well almost everyone, the muslim brothers on the street who wish each other peace (asallam vallikum....vallikum asallam) , the hindu brother who prays 'asathoma sadh gamaya tamasoma jyothir gamaya ...om shanthi shanthi..shanthi...., the christian brethren who wish the peace of christ with each other, or the rest in the world who unfortunately spell peace wrongly and call it world 'Piece' .Look everyone needs it some spell it correctly others dont.
Christmas is more about giving than receiving.

Shortly after the telephone's invention, Bell had written to his father, "The day is coming when telegraph wires will be laid on to houses just like water or gas Â– and friends will converse with each other without leaving home."

Success is being a keen observer.
Bell was a gifted pianist, who as a teenager, noticed that a chord struck on one piano would be echoed by a piano in another room. He realized that whole chords could be transmitted through the air, vibrating at the other end at exactly the same pitch. In the years to come, this simple observation would eventually lead him to the creation of the telephone.

Success is asking the right questions.
Bell hoped to convey several messages simultaneously, each at a different pitch. However, he could not see a way to make-and-break the current at the precise pitch required. He would eventually find the answer to his question, "How could pitch be conveyed along a wire?"

Success is overcoming adversity.

JESUS was tempted, not only in one area, but in all areas and it was one after the other. But Jesus had ready answers to give…..
The next person that comes to my mind is JOB, whom the devil tempted…..everything was taken away from him. Again this was a series…A messenger reported to Job that his servants were killed by the Sabeans. "While he was still speaking," the second messenger came with the news of his sheep burned up by a fire from God. "While he was still speaking," another came with the news of the carrying away of the camels by the Chaldeans. "While he was still speaking," another brought the news of the death of his children due to the collapse of the house. "In all this Job did not sin!"
Oh my GOD!!!!...

I was just thinking for myself and people around….. Today the devil has new techniques!!! To mention, we have answers to all are probz…..if not today, we know we have an answer tomorrow. Today we are blessed with everything possible…which are parents or our forefathers could not even dream about. Earlier our shortcomings led us to SIN, now what…..
Parents are ready to do everything for us…but we are not even bothered about their feelings. Blessed with a good job/salary/talent after much of suffering…but not able to use it properly or wanting more of it. And everything in life is OK.
Are we aware of whtz happening with us or around us?? But I feel sometime this is where the devil (temptation) is at work…….with all the blessings that we have, how do we use it? A big question. See how, is he stealing the Grace that is with us.
I believe that these temptations are GOD’s plan in our life….very true. But have to be sure that we are not surrendering ourselves to these temptations. In other words to say “NO” when required.
No degree of temptation justifies any degree of sin! Whatever may be the type of place/circumstance, if it is God who put you there, you have no excuse for your failure.

Heb 10:26 "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of truth. No sacrifice for sins is left".

Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further.
So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.
The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.
Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.
What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly!
I asked for....and he gave me....
I asked for Strength.... ..... And God gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom...... ... And God gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity.. ....... And God gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage..... .... And God gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love........ . And God gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favors...... ... And God gave me Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted ........ I received everything I needed! ...but isnt that beautiful ?

The men left and consulted for months. They finally returned and handed the King a scroll. The King unrolled the scroll. On it was written four words: "THIS TOO SHALL PASS" That was it.
The wise men explained. When you are on top of the a fleeting moment, things change, always remember, this too shall pass. When you are in the pits, all nights are followed by day, at your lowest moments remember also, this too shall pass. All external circumstances and material things change. No matter what your circumstances, remember, THIS TOO SHALL PASS!
The wise men reminded the great King that this would get him through his earthly things but the truly wise knew there were things al. True wisdom they reminded the King was in the ability to recognize the fleeting temporal things of the material world from the truly eternal things. O Great King they said, "Most of the things that you worry or gloat about are temporary and our four words apply." Dear Readers, for most of your situations. . . THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!

A Brother's Hands
Back in the fifteenth century, in a tiny village near Nuremberg, lived a family with eighteen children. Eighteen! In order merely to keep food n the table for this mob, the father and head of the household, a goldsmith by profession, worked almost eighteen hours a day at his trade and any other paying chore he could find in the neighbourhood. Despite their seemingly hopeless condition, two of Albrecht Durer the r's children had a dream. They both wanted to pursue their talent for art, but they knew full well that their father would never be financially able to send either of them to Nuremberg to study at the Academy. After many long discussions at night in their crowded bed, the two boys finally worked out a pact. They would toss a coin. The loser would go down into the nearby mines and, with his earnings, support his brother while he attended the academy. Then, when that brother who won the toss completed his studies, in four years, he would support the other brother at the academy, either with sales of his artwork or, if necessary, also by labouring in the mines. They tossed a coin on a Sunday morning after church. Albrecht Durer won the toss and went off to Nuremberg. Albert went down into the dangerous mines and, for the next four years, financed his brother, whose work at the academy was almost an immediate sensation. Albrecht's etchings, his woodcuts, and his were far better than those of most of his professors, and by thetime he graduated, he was beginning to earn considerable fees for his commissioned works. When the young artist returned to his village, the Durer family held a festive dinner on their lawn to celebrate Albrecht's triumphant homecoming. After a long and memorable meal, punctuated with music and laughter, Albrecht rose from his honoured position at the head of the table to drink a toast to his beloved brother for the years of sacrifice that had enabled Albrecht to fulfil his ambition. His closing words were, "And now, Albert, blessed brother of mine, now it is your turn. Now you can go to Nuremberg to pursue your dream, and I will support you." All heads turned in eager expectation to the far end of the table where Albert sat, tears streaming down his pale face, shaking his lowered ead from side to side while he sobbed and repeated over and over,"No ... no ... no ... no." Finally, Albert rose and wiped the tears from his cheeks. He glanced down the long table at the faces he loved, and then, holding his hands close to his right cheek, he said softly, "No, brother. I cannot go to Nuremberg. It is too late for me. Look, look what four years in the mines have done to my hands! The bones in every finger have been smashed at least once, and lately I have been suffering from arthritis so badly in my right hand that I cannot even hold a glass to return your toast, much less make delicate lines on parchment or canvas with a pen or a brush. No, brother ... for me it is too late." More than 450 years have passed. By now, Albrecht Durer's hundreds of masterful portraits, pen and silver-point sketches, watercolours, charcoals, woodcuts, and copper engravings hang in every great museum in the world, but the odds are great that you, like most people, are familiar with only one of Albrecht Durer's works.More than merely being familiar with it, you very well may have a reproduction hanging in your home or office. One day, long ago, to pay homage to Albert for all that he had sacrificed, Albrecht Durer painstakingly drew his brother's abused hands with palms together and thin fingers stretched skyward. He called his powerful drawing simply "Hands," but the entire world almost immediately opened their hearts to his great masterpiece and renamed his tribute of love "The Praying Hands."

Touched me...thought of sharing !!!!!!
Once a boy went to a shop with his mother. The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed him a bottle with sweets and said 'Dear Child.. u can take the sweets... but the child didn't take.The shop keeper was surprised.. such a small child he is and why is he not taking the sweets from the bottle. Again he said take the sweets.... now mother also heard that and said.. take the sweets.. yet he didn't take...The shopkeeper seeing the child not taking the sweets... he himself took the sweets and gave to the child...... the child was happy to get two hands full of sweets ....When they returned home Mother asked child...Why didn't you take the sweets... when the shop keeper told you to take....Can you guess the response: Child replies... Mom! my hands are very small and if i take the sweets i can only take few.. but now you see when uncle gave with his big hands....how many more sweets i got!
Moral: When we take we may get little but when GOD gives... HE gives us more beyond our expectations.... more than what we can.....

A small experience !!!!!!!
Due to my office timings and various reasons... i could not celebrate daily mass. But after Campus Vibes, i had decided that i would go everyday to celebrate mass... by any means.
So 5 - 7 min away from where my company bus arrives there is a Church, after returning from Bangalore... i reached the Church and I had in my mind that Jesus would have some timings where i can come and celebrate the mass and go without any issue and take the bus.
But the sad part was that, the mass would begin @ 7:30 am and I had to take the bus 7:50 or so i could not even receive JESUS.... i had to leave just before that.... But still I continued the same for 1 week and more, but last week i stopped going to Church, consoling myself whtz the use of me celebrating the mass without even receiving HIM... i was very sad abt it...coz i knew the difference of celebrating mass and not !!!!!!!
But as U know OUR GOD IS A GREAT GOD...... my company bus is arriving late almost everyday, when checked the driver said this would continue.....PRAISE JESUS...
I have got wht i wanted...
Praying that everybody is able to celebrate the Ecuharist.

Dear all,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.Happy to see so many of you blogging and expressing their life in such lovely ways;inspires me greatly whenever i read your articles and I am very certain that many are reading these articles but are not putting that effort to write in.We all are the light that needs to shine across to the world ,whats the point of lamp that is hidden beneath a bush ;we are called to be on the lampstand.Lets continue to share our experience and an humble opinion I have is that we should mainly consentrate on sharing our experiences and our struggles and the ways we are discovering God in our daily life and this will serve the purpose of this blog more completely rather than just sharing about only our programs ;

And finally a small blogging tip : I have not visited this blog for sometime but as I see it now I feel it would be great if the authors who are posting articles just write in the article without adding colours or changing font sizes as it is easy on the eyes of a reader if all the articles follow the same style.As I see now the blog looks slightly messy from the point of a reader.So please take care of not changing the font/colour/spacing parameters.Just write in the articles and Publish the same.Hope you all continue to write in for Christ.

Hello campus Vibes.....
On 15th June with lot of decisions I left Holy cross convent started journey in a series of line buses to coimbatore and reached there on 16th morning. Then after 1hr started Journey to Kerala and those times I was experiencing the caring of our Lord many times just like He take care of Israel and stayed that day in Palakkad. On 17th attended burial of on JY's father then visited our Campus vibe Stenson's home then at night started journey to my home town and 18th morning I reached there before going to home visited Neyyattinkara Campus Coordinator who met one bike accident then went to my home and spent there half an hour and started journey to my college that I studied last year and met JY's there, soon after involved in POWER TEENZ to ask permission from schools evening spent time to spare with JY families in Neyyattinkara zone. 19th morning after Holy mass spent time to visit JY and JY families in my parish. Evening we had beautiful time in Peyad Seminary ,a Musical evening and Praise and Worship performed by JY for seminarians. Night started journey to Coimbatore,Tamilnadu 20th after noon reached there and then spent time to prepare for Night Vigil and that day we JY Boys in Coimbatore had a blessed night with our Lord.
Our Tamilnadu Campus Team(TNST) meeting started on 21st evening in a nice place Divine Dhyana Illam with confession and adoration. In this meeting our campus vibes Jinson, Simi and Karol was also there and meeting ended on 22nd evening with adoration of half an hour. From there me and our Campus Vibe Karol started journey to Chennai 23rd morning reached there.
On the day we visited Loyola College and met the Prayer Group leader Gladwin and his friends, then met TNCT member John, then Visited SIGA College where we have good Prayer Meeting and there met Maria Soosai and Anbu, then some of my friends then after holy mass met Stella Maris College JYs, then met Chennai Coordinator Delma chechy and then Chennai campus responsible person Nisha and discuss the possibility of forming new campus team there,then met Masterbuilder Jerin,then Chennai full timer and then Tamilnadu teens team coordinator Roji K. Avera.
On 24th after holy mass spent time with our National Pastor Fr. Varghese in his Seminary. Then went to Loyola college and spent some time with Gladwin then met some other JYs and new students and invite them to JY. After that met one JY contact in Madrass Medical College and prayed for a prayer group in MMC. Then Karol joined with me and we both went to our Campus vibes Arun and Antony's home and met them and their family and spent some time there for discussing about our goal and also about our responsibility as a Campus Vibe.
At 10.10 pm my train moved from Chennai Central there also our God took care of even in that rush in train He gave me space to sleep in upper class wooden bed and I slept well and finally an Electrician in Train called me on 25th morning and this was the time of my 3rd semester starting. I reached my room in Coimbatore and put my luggage there after 40 days and went to my college.
By 2 O'clock I got project guide, K. Renjith kumar sir for coming 2 semesters (so pray for him). After classes I went to one prayer group in Coimbatore and on this day the prayer group members decided to use medium of communication to English to accept all of our friends to prayer meeting without Language barriers then spent time with core team members.........

One thing I can say is Jesus is taking care of me each and every moments. He is working through me. Glory be to our God...

I bring new of great joy,joy to be share by the whole people: to a saviour has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord (Lk. 2.10)
This is how salvation came and keeps coming to us not in the abstract as a new religion or a new movement , but in the living, loving person of jesus christ. The good news we preach is that God loves this world of sinful men so much that, he has sent his own son in human flesh to be our saviour ( Jn.3:16) . His name is Jesus, in Hebrew "Yehoshua" which means " Yahweh saves", because he is come to seek and he and save what was lost.
We have "great God and saviour Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all in equity and to purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds". (Tit 2:13)
The mission of Jesus is to save every person , and to save or heal person in his/her totality spirit , mind, heart and emotions. "He himself took our illness and carried away our diseases" (Mt.8:17)

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation. Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things hecould see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside. The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance. As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man could not hear the band - he could see it in his mind ' s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words. Days, weeks and months passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had diedpeacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone. Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed. It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

Epilogue: There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations. Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled. If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can ' t buy.
